CODP Chartered Organizational Development Practitioner  

An organization development practitioner applies behavioral science to issues within organizations and systems to align capability and strategy, intervening in systems so that people can better work together to achieve their goals. An OD manager might be asked to lead on a culture of continuous improvement in relevant teams to deliver on the company’s strategy, to lead on the design and delivery of its values and operation plans, and to collaborate with senior staff to enhance performance and employee satisfaction by improving the processes of how work is done. Organizational Development Manager manages, designs, and implements policies and procedures relating to organizational development. Facilitates implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with organizational transition activities.

  • Conduct analysis and assessments and use data to provide consultation on interventions that will enable desired future state including new behaviors, practices, mindsets, and norms
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to analyze, identify, develop and implement solutions that facilitate team effectiveness processes to build team cohesion and alignment
  • Conduct group facilitation including coaching, conflict resolution, team building and workshops
  • Provide change expertise on organizational change plans that lead to positive outcomes in employee engagement, stakeholder and sponsor management, communications, and return on investment
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate talent and organizational development processes and programs necessary to create a ready and capable leadership and talent pipeline
  • Build, implement and monitor the success of talent reviews, succession planning, high potential identification, talent reviews and other approaches required to close talent gaps
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver leadership development programs that build a robust pipeline of leaders who drive culture and growth
  • Advise, consult, and contribute to projects, programs and learning initiatives as needed to integrate and apply change management and organizational effectiveness practices
  • Builds strong relationships at all levels across functional departments and within HR to influence decision making in a collaborative way
  • Stay current with trends, research and best practices in talent, leadership, learning and organizational development, and change management; determine and integrate what is applicable to Novavax strategy and environment

The CODP Chartered Organizational Development Practitioner ™ certification is a gold standard credential that demonstrates the attainment of a defined level of technical knowledge in  human resources management, professional practice, and ethical behavior. It forms the basis of the assessment that applicants must pass to gain the CODP ™ credential and inclusion in the Register of The Global Academy of Finance and Management® Certified / Chartered Professional. Individuals with several years of experience in human resources management are encouraged to acquire this certification. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Social Sciences is required
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or Organization Development is preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive organization development and change management experience

Founded in 1988, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a global business education accrediting body and the first organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business educational degree programs from associate to doctoral.  ACBSP ignites a standard of excellence with an accreditation process based on the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence.
