A Project Planner is a construction professional who is concerned with developing time plans on construction projects to ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time and within budget.  A site based Planner will usually report in to either the Project Manager or Project Director for project delivery.   • Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans
  • Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
  • Keep the client team up to date on progress to present to the client
  • Present information for internal meetings on the project
  • Problem solving
  • Produce tender plans to support bids

The MPP Master Project Planner ™ certification is a professional credential that demonstrates the attainment of a defined level of technical knowledge in project planning, professional practice, and ethical behavior. This credential is commonly associated with Project Planner in Construction / Engineering industry. It forms the basis of the assessment that individual must pass to gain the certified Master Project Planner credential and inclusion in the Register of The American Academy of Project Management® Certified / Chartered Professional. Individuals with several years of experience in project planning are encouraged to acquire this certification. Requirements:   i)  Degree or equivalent                 ii) 3+ years experience in project planning                   iii)  Pass the MPP examination
